Sensing a need for an affordable, Christ-centered day care provider Trina Rexroat and Joanne Payne joined their resources and abilities together to turn a long-held vision of 3Trees Church’s Leadership Team into a reality. As a result of their faith-filled cooperation Little Sprouts Child Care Academy was launched in January, 2005 as an outreach ministry of Higher Praise Church.

It is the goal of Little Sprouts’ staff to impact the children entrusted to our care with life-giving ministry. Chapel services are held three times weekly, but each day we present the message of Jesus’ love for humanity to each child in a non-denominational format. King Solomon declared in Proverbs 22:6,

train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Our hope is that as we teach children the truth of God’s word, they will receive training that will impact them for the rest of their lives in a positive way.

Little Sprouts Childcare currently has one location, but it is our vision to impact all of the Lake Cumberland Region with a variety of affordable, easily accessible, Christ-centered child care facilities. Call (270) 866-8810 for enrollment!

Staff Requirements are as follows:

• 12 hours of Eastern Kentucky Child Care Coalition (EKCCC) Training in Early Childhood Development per calendar year.
• Must provide a Development Plan and share their vision for the continued improvement of the academy.
• Submit to a TB test, criminal background check, and a child abuse and neglect check (CAN Test) before employment is finalized.
